Meet the Founder
Paige Shevlin founded Paige Ahead LLC to help organizations turn ambitious workforce goals into real, measurable outcomes.
Paige brings experience across federal and local government, with a focus on job training, higher education, social insurance, and labor market policy. Most recently, she served as Strategic Advisor for Infrastructure Workforce Development at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where she worked with states and cities to connect major transportation investments to meaningful workforce strategies. During her tenure, the number of states making significant workforce investments tied to transportation projects more than doubled, and hundreds of federally funded projects incorporated new provisions such as apprenticeship and local hire strategies.
Previously, as Economic Development Policy Advisor to the King County Executive in Washington State, Paige partnered with regional leaders to advance workforce and economic development strategies, helping realign funding to reduce racial disparities in services and outcomes. Earlier in her career, she served at the White House National Economic Council as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, where she led labor market policy development and supported implementation of the Vice President’s Job-Driven Training initiative and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act regulations.

Across roles at the Council of Economic Advisers, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Hamilton Project at Brookings, and the Congressional Budget Office, Paige has worked at the intersection of evidence, policy, and implementation. That cross-sector perspective informs her consulting approach today: thoughtful strategy, grounded in data, focused on practical execution, and centered on impact for workers and communities.
Paige holds a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College and an M.A. in Public Affairs from Princeton University.
